This work was produced through the “Jamie Reid Archives” a project by L-13, a London gallery to which Jamie Reid belonged, and a Japanese management company, and is a pure reprint of an archival work dating back to 1968, re-constructed. The printing technique has been carefully selected to vividly represent the state of the work at the time of production. Jamie passed away during the production of the planned edition of 300, so this is now one of his most valuable works. It is personally signed and numbered by the artist.
The design is derived from an original collage in the Tate Gallery, London. A bandaged woman sits on the pavement of a tower block, representing a 'punk' image. The name of the piece is derived from a Sex Pistols song.
