About “Jamie Reid Archives”
About “Jamie Reid Archives”
This work was produced through the “Jamie Reid Archives” a project by L-13, a London gallery to which Jamie Reid belonged, and a Japanese management company, and is a pure reprint of an archival work dating back to 1968, re-constructed. The printing technique has been carefully selected to vividly represent the state of the work at the time of production. Jamie passed away during the production of the planned edition of 300, so this is now one of his most valuable works. It is personally signed and numbered by the artist.
An ironic inversion of the words 'Never Trust a Hippy' from the film 'The Great Rock 'n Roll Swindle' starring the Sex Pistols, this design was released in 2007 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of 'God Save the Queen' and sold out immediately. It sold out immediately.
